Summary:
water, methanol, acetone and ethyl acetate were used as solvents to extract polyphenols from pomegranate peel, and four extracts were obtained. The antioxidant activity of the extract was studied by lipid peroxide value (POV) method and diphenyltrinitrophenylhydrazine (DPPH) radical method. The results showed that all the four extracts had the ability to resist oil peroxidation and scavenge DPPH free radicals, and their antioxidant activity increased with the increase of the addition. Among the four extracts, acetone extract has the greatest anti-oil peroxidation effect, followed by water extract and methanol extract, and ethyl acetate extract has the smallest anti-oil peroxidation effect. When the addition of acetone extract is the 0.1% of lard quality. Its anti-oil peroxidation activity is close to the addition of 0.02% tea polyphenols or BHT. The order of the scavenging ability of the four extracts to DPPH free radicals is: water extract, acetone extract, methanol extract and ethyl acetate extract. The DPPH radical scavenging rate of water extract with a concentration of 0.0175 mg/mL is as high as 85.2%, which is higher than BHT, but slightly lower than tea polyphenols. Pomegranate peel polyphenol is an effective natural antioxidant.

Summary:
to provide technical support for the development of pomegranate peel resources, D101 resin was selected from D101,AB-8 and DA-2013 macroporous adsorption resins, and the purification process of D101 for polyphenols and total flavonoids in pomegranate peel extract was further studied. The optimal purification process was as follows: the concentration of the upper column liquid was 5 mg/mL,pH5, the volume of the upper column liquid was 180mL, the flow rate of the upper column liquid was 80mL/h, the elution flow rate was 80mL/h with 60% ethanol solution as eluent, and the volume of eluent was 100mL. Under these conditions, the contents of polyphenols and total flavonoids increased from 30.43% and 17.12% to 53.55% and 35.71% respectively. At the same time, the antioxidant activity before and after purification was compared. The results showed that the purified pomegranate peel extract was better than the crude extract in scavenging diphenyltrinitrophenylhydrazine free radical (DPPH ·) and resisting oil peroxidation.

Summary:
[Objective] To study the inhibitory effect of pomegranate peel extract on α-amylase and α-glucosidase. [Method] Pomegranate peel was extracted by Box-Behnken design with liquid-solid ratio, extraction time and microwave power as response values. Using starch and PNPG as substrates, a high-throughput in vitro screening model with more clinical significance was constructed in line with the physiological characteristics of human diabetes pathology. [Results] The results showed that the inhibitory effect of pomegranate peel extract on α-amylase increased with the increase of concentration, reaching 39.55% at 60 mg/ml. The inhibitory effect of pomegranate peel extract on α-glucosidase was 1~10 μg/ml, the inhibition rate has a linear relationship with the concentration. When the concentration is ≥ 10 μg/ml, the increasing trend tends to be flat. When the concentration of the extract is 10 μg/ml, the inhibition rate is 90%.[Conclusion] Pomegranate peel extract has different degrees of inhibition on α-amylase and α-glucosidase, and is a potential hypoglycemic functional factor.
